By the Way

There is a new Terminator Salvation trailer and its at the bottom of the page.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Now when I first saw the trailers for this movie I thought to myself, this is one of the movies that will win awards. Sure enough, last week the Golden Globe nominees came out and Benjamin Button was nominated for five awards including best film. So I decided, even though at the time the film looked kinda weird, to go check this one out. I wasn't disappointed. The story is a very interesting one. A baby is born an old man and he grows younger with age. The fun thing about this plot is you get to see what he went through in terms of how people treated him. The sad part is that Benjamin sees many people that were close to him get older and eventually die. The movie is set at the end of World War 1 and ends during World War 2. This is strictly a romance drama not an action movie. There is one scene where Benjamin is on a ship that is in combat with a Japanese submarine. It was hard to find the message in this film but after I though about it I realized there was several times in the movie where people said that you never know what will happen to you the next day so live your life while you can. The thing is, the message is for the most part empty because in no way does the film say how to live your life in a good way. Some might come out of the movie and think that the message means that they should do anything and everything they want because they might not have the chance the next day. On the other hand, the acting was great and the make-up was amazing. The way they made everyone look older, and in Benjamin's case younger, was out standing. For example, Daisy(Benjamin's love interest) is a ten year old girl in the beginning and an eighty year old woman in the end and throughout the movie you could tell she was getting older and older. The same can be seen with Benjamin except he grow younger and younger until he is only a baby. This movie was definitely one my top five list for best movies of this year. 9 out of 10.

New Moon Update!

Just a couple facts about the upcoming movie New Moon. Summit Entertainment is fast-tracking the movie so it is slated to open November 20th of next year. This is one of the reasons Catherine Hardwicke(director) left Summit. The new director, Chris Weitz, has taken the job as the new director and he has eight months to make this movie...not good. Taylor Lautner(Jacob) will not return for the sequel as well. The studio said they wanted a taller bulkier Jacob and I guess they are too cheap to use CGI. Michael Copon( Bring It On: In It to Win It, Scorpion King 2) is pushing for the roll of Jacob in the next film and Ben Barnes(Prince Caspian) is pushing for the roll of Aro. With a fifty million dollar budget, this has hopes to be a much better movie than the first.

-Get ready Twilight fans, the next movie(New Moon) has already been slated for next November. The franchise got a director yesterday(Chris Weitz). The movie will have some competition including Robert Downy Jr.'s Sherlock Holmes and a Three Stooges flick.

-I have a couple small facts here. Watchmen tickets are on sale even though the movie doesn't come out till next year. Oh and by the way...they're only on sale in one theater...GAY. Also a fifth Terminator is already in production. The producers expect that the new movie Terminator Salvation, will blow away the box office...I agree because I'll probably see it twice.

The Week of December 12th

Hooray! The Holiday Season is here. The movies that will win Academy Awards will be coming out soon, even though I probably won't even know about them like last year. The posting may slow down a bit this month as I am preparing for Christmas and the vacation which I will make good use of(Guitar Hero). Wonderful things are already happening. The Dark Knight comes out tomorrow(YEAH!!) and The Day The Earth Stood Still comes on Friday which includes the X-Men Origins: Wolverine trailer.
BOX OFFICE
  1. Four Christmases-$18.2M
  2. Twilight-13.2M
  3. Bolt-9.7M
  4. Australia-7M
  5. Quantum of Solace-6.6M

-Hugh Jackman has already told the news that sequels to the new Wolverine movie are pretty much happening because of the projected giant success the movie will have. That's great for me cause really, who can get enough Wolverine.

-It has been confirmed that Catherine Hardwicke the director of Twilight, will not return to direct the sequel New Moon. Hopefully that's a good thing because Twilight wasn't that good in terms of music and the camera shooting.

Australia

WOW! I've seen so many movies in my life. I know everything there is to know about them. However, there is rarely a time where I am blown away by every concept of a movie. A good movie has action, suspense, romance, drama, and it adds to the experience when a character has to look inside themselves to examine their problems. Australia had all of these things and it sure came together to make an amazing movie. This is up there with Dark Knight and other great movies of our time. This epic, love story takes place back in1939 during World War II when Japan is preparing to attack the shores of Australia. After finding her husband, the owner of a cattle herding company, murdered, a rich, English woman(Nicole Kidman) meets a cattle herder(Hugh Jackman) who helps her attempt to beat out a rival cattle company in hopes of saving the business. The movie also deals with themes of racism and how people acted toward Aborigines and African Australians even after the Japanese attacked them. The many different kinds of scenery was wonderful to look at. This is one of the best movies I've ever seen. 10 out of 10.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm writing this new update up in Indiana where I'm visiting my family for the week. I hope all of you reading this have a great week and a happy Thanksgiving and, there is lots of news this week starting with the fact that Twilight blew away the box office. One thing I noticed today is that the second time I saw Twilight, there was an awesome Harry Potter 6 trailer in front of it. You can view it at the bottom of the page.

BOX OFFICE
  1. Twilight-$69.7M
  2. Quantum of Solace-$26.7M
  3. Bolt-$26.2M
  4. Madagascar 2-$15.7M
  5. Role Models-$7.3M

-ABC Family is having their annual Harry Potter movie marathon the weekend of December 5th. It will include the first four movies. The fourth will contain deleted scenes not included in the film. Throughout the weekend, there will be behind-the-scenes videos with information about Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. The times of these sneak peaks are not known. The marathon starts with the first movie Friday night, and ends with the fourth Sunday night.

-Whether it's a prequel or sequel, a second I Am Legend more is in the works. Will Smith, the director, and the writer have been signed on for another movie. The first story was that it would be a prequel telling the story about what Will Smith's character went through before New York was wiped out by the deadly virus. Now a site is saying that they are writing a prequel. A believe that's bull because Will Smith's character blew himself up in the end so how could he possibly come back.

-If you saw The Incredible Hulk, you probably remember that the scientist that tried to help Bruce Banner accidently had chemicals dripped in his wound when Abomination destroyed his lab. Now I'm sure you were thinking, why is his head bulging out? The answer to that question has now been confirmed, Tim Nelson, the actor that played the head-bulging scientist, will return to the next movie to play the role of the Leader. Since you probably don't know who that is, the Leader is a very intelligent man who creates weapons and tries to steal the power of the Hulk for his own. Did I mention that his brain get huge increasing the size of his head so it looks like a brain? Well now you know.

Quantom of Solace

For starters, this is the first James Bond Movie I've seen which is why I left the theater saying...HOLY CRAP THAT WAS AWESOME. The most popular spy saga returns to screen with the new Quantum of Solace. Daniel Craig reprises his role as the non-caring, kick-but James Bond. The action sequences in this movie were amazing. From hand-to-hand combat, to car chases, to gun battles, this movie is loaded with all kinds of heart pounding thrills. The stunts and visual effects blew my mind away. I do recommend watching the movie before this one, Casino Royal. I didn't and some of the plot line in this movie confused me. This will appeal to most audiences that are fans of action, suspense, and James Bond in general. The only thing I didn't like was that there was not that much dialogue in the movie at all. Look this one up beforehand for the little ones because in can get a little intense. 9 out of 10.

Twilight

First let me say, going to movies with tons of your friends is such a fun thing to do. It really makes you remember the moment.
Wow. I am glad the winter movie season has begun. Last week I saw James Bond, this week I saw Twilight, and I'll most likely see Bolt and Australia this week as well so more reviews are on the way. For all you guys who think Twilight is a chick flick, you would be surprised by the action and intensity of this film. The acting was great, it stuck to the book for the most part, and the mushy, love kind of stuff you might find all throughout the book, is pretty toned down in the movie. Yes, the cast is pretty much all attractive so they picked the right people to appeal to teenage girls(whoever you like) and guys(Rosalie and Bella.) However, this probably isn't one you seven year old sibling would be seeing. If you want to see a action/romance movie, this is defiantly the one to pick. 7 out of 10.

  2. Madagascar 2-$35M
  3. Role Models-$11.2M
  4. High School Musical 3-$5.7M
  5. Changeling-$4.3M

-The upcoming Marvel movie titled The First Avenger: Captain America, slated for May 6th, 2011, has gotten a director. Director Joe Johnson has been signed and from the past movies he's directed we could have ourselves a good movie coming in a couple years. He's directed movies like Jumanji, Jurassic Park 3, The Rocketeer, and won and academy award for visual effects in Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost Ark. He is also directing the new Wolfman(classic horror movie...super classic).

-X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the next movie in the X-Men franchise will be releasing its teaser trailer with The Day the Earth Stood Still. WOO HOO!

The Week of November 7th

-Sorry I didn't to a post last week but I was swamped with other things to do. For those of you who want to know, High School Musical Three won the box office two weeks in a row. It has made about 55 million dollars this past week. It also has beaten Saw 5 and Zack and Miri(which is a stupid movie.) I do have some advice...yes I did see High School Musical, yes I did sit through all the short songs, yes I did watch Troy and Gabriella almost break up again, and YES I DID see Zac Effron take off his shirt!!! Now even though this sounds amazing...the movie sucked. I can take the upbeat songs in fact some of them weren't that bad, but it was the slow songs that killed the movie for me. It had the same story line as all the others. COME ON can't you get a little creative. Oh well...don't see it.
-TWILIGHT!! EDWARD!! TWILIGHT MOVIE!! OMG!!! For you die hard Twilight fans I have some news for you. Just in case you were interested, tickets are now on sale for the upcoming movie and they already make up almost half the ticket sales each week. Fifteen minutes of the movie was shown in Rome last week and you can see eight minutes of it on YouTube(I don't recommend it the quality stinks.) If you want to look at pictures you can go to rottentomatoes.com where you can find 90+ pics.

NEWS ALERT

I am sorry about the confusion of posts on the site concerning a fourth Pirates of the Caribbean. It has been confirmed that there WILL be a fourth movie. Johnny Depp has been signed on again to play Jack Sparrow but it is unknown if Orlando Bloom or Keira Knightley will return.

The Week of October 24th

BOX OFFICE
  1. Max Payne-17.6M
  2. Beverly Hills Chihuahua-11.4M
  3. Secret Life of Bees-10.5M
  4. W.-10.5M
  5. Eagle Eye-7.0M

-There's a whole string of Marvel Comic Movie Related news this week.

  1. Daniel Craig(James Bond) turned down the roll of Thor this week. What! This roll offered so many movies including the saga itself, and the Avengers. He would have gotten lots of money and publicity for this role. Oh well. Daniel Craig doesn't look like a Thor kinda guy anyway.
  2. Samuel Jackson has revealed that he will be back for Iron Man two. That's awesome because we'll get to know S.H.E.I.L.D. a little more before avengers come out in 2011. Sam Jackson is a good actor as well so it's fun to watch him a play such an awesome character.
  3. The Incredible Hulk came out on DVD today(Tuesday) and there is lots of buzz on the Captain America cameo seen in the alternate opening of the film. Apparently you can see Cap frozen in ice along with his shield when Hulk rampages through Alaska. BUT, be ready for this cameo because it goes by really fast and is a distance away from the camera.

The Week of October 17th

BOX OFFICE
  1. Beverly Hills Chihuahua-17.5M
  2. Quarantine-14.2M
  3. Bodies of Lies-12.9M
  4. Eagle Eye-10.9M
  5. Nick and Nora's-6.4M

-For all you Pirates of the Caribbean fans who thought they were making a fourth movie...it's all bull. From the rumors of Borat being Jack Sparrow's brother to the rumor about Tim Burton directing it...it isn't happening.

-Alright, most of us know that there is going to be an Avengers movie in 2011 with the heroes Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, The Hulk, and Ant Man/Giant Man. We also know that in the two new marvel movies(Iron Man and Hulk) they left easter eggs in the movies that are setting up for the Avengers. An example is at the end of the Iron Man credits, Nick Fury(Head of S.H.E.I.L.D. the hero police) comes to Tony Stark and tells him that they are getting a team of super heroes together called the Avengers. AWESOME I KNOW! Well...some people at Marvel came up with this idea: What if instead of fighting an actual "bad guy" the Avengers dished it out with the Hulk. I think that's a great idea being that the Hulk has fought almost all the heroes in Marvel comics. Anyways...the movie will be awesome. Captain America, Thor, Iron Man 2, and Ant Man are all slated for 2010.

The Week of October 10th

Box Office
  1. Beverly Hills Chihuahua-29.0M
  2. Eagle Eye-17.7M

  5. Appaloosa-5.0M

-Sorry I'm late with the postings lately but I'm grounded so it may be like that for a few weeks. Sadly there isn't anything interesting in the news this week. I am putting the Twilight trailer on the site in honor of the movie coming out in about a month. A read the book too and I do recommend it.

Eagle Eye

As I have said to all the people I've talked to...Eagle Eye was freaking awesome. The action and special effects sequences(which made up most of the movie) were great. Shia Lebouf is a really good actor so of course he did a great job with this roll. This might be his best movies yet in my opinion. For all you people that don't like out of this world stuff...this movie might not be for you because it's a very "out there" plot. SPOILER...It's another one of those robot take over the world deals. Still a good movie. 6 out of 10.

The Week of October 3rd

BOX OFFICE

  1. Eagle Eye-29.3M
  2. Nights in Rodanthe-13.4M
  3. Lakeview Terrace-7.0M
  4. Fireproof-6.8M
  5. Burn After Reading-6.2M

-YAY! Production for the next Batman movie starts next February. Exciting I know. The movie will not be coming out until 2011. That's a big year for comic book movies. The Avengers will obviously be amazing and the Caped Crusader(Batman) is bound to be good.

-Ha Ha! Disney has come to their senses and realized that the Hannah Montana movie has no chance making more money than Wolverine next May so they moved it back to April. Do I care...No.

Monday, September 22, 2008

The Week of September 26th

BOX OFFICE
  1. Lakeview Terrace-$15.0M
  2. Burn After Reading-11.0M
  3. My Best Friend's Girl-$8.3M
  4. Igor-$7.8M
  5. Righteous Kill-$7.7

-TYLER PERRY'S THE FAMILY THAT PREYS

I actually did go see the new Tyler Perry movie and since I have not done a review in a while, I'm doing one now. While this movie might not have been as good as other summer movies I saw this year, it was still an enjoyable movie to sit down and watch. The whole movie has a complex storyline but in a nutshell...it is about three families and it gives good example on why(SPOILER) you should NOT cheat on your husband and expect him to leave his wife for you. Yep, the actor that played the husband did a really good job showing how mad he was when he found out his wife cheated on him. Especially when he hit her and knocked her behind a counter. For the record, no,this movie is defiantly not a chick flick. I give it a 7 out of 10.

Wednesday, September 17, 2008

The Week of September 19th

BOX OFFICE
  1. Burn After Reading-$19 million
  2. Tyler Perry's The family That Preys-$17M
  3. Righteous Kill-$16M
  4. The Women-$10M
  5. Tropic Thunder-$4M

-Get this...Tobe Maguire is getting paid fifty million dollars to reprise his role as Peter Parker/Spider Man in the next two Spider Man movies. What a deal(I'd like to make that kind of money when I'm older).

-IF YOU DO NOT WANT T KNOW WHAT HAPPENS IN THE NEXT HARRY POTTER MOVIE DON'T READ THIS! Well...one of the guys that run the website titled Mugglenet.com, a big Harry Potter website, was invited to a screening of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince(HBP). Crazy I know because the movie doesn't come out for almost another year. Well, he gave a review on the movie ad I'm about to share some things he said. The spoilers are very minimum in this post. For starters, he said that all the actors did a very good job with the movie and he liked how they included many things from the book. HOWEVER...what he also said is that two BIG scenes were cut from the movie. The two scenes were...The battle a Hogwarts and Dumbledor's funeral. OK, who else thinks its crazy to cut the climax of the movie? How are they going t work Dumbledor's death into the end? Also, Dumbledor's funeral is a very emotional and important part of the series. It should be in the movie. They also added to battle scenes to the movie so maybe that will make up for the cut ones. Oh well...it will still be a very good movie I'm sure. Can't wait to see it.

The Week of September 12th

-For the record, this past weekend was the worst box office in 5 years...HOLY CRAP. Every movie this weekend gained less than 7 million including Dark Knight.
-BIG NEWS THIS WEEK!!! Director Sam Rami( known for the Spider-Man franchise) and actor Toby Maguire(the guy who plays Spider-Man) have both signed on for Spider Man 4 and 5. Awesome I know...it seems that the two new movies will be filmed together which probably means that the 4th will end with a cliffhanger. The villain(s) have not been announced yet but possibilities include Lizard, Scorpion, or the Spider Slayers, a group of robots controlled by J. Jonah Jameson.
-Other Marvel news includes the fact that Nicholas Cage said another Ghost Rider is in the works. He said that the character will go to Europe in the new film(which will fit with the Catholic Church essence). For those of you who aren't familiar to Ghost Rider...he's a man that basically works for the devil. He rides around at night on a fiery motorcycle with demonized powers and the face of a skull.

What happened to Harvey Dent?

Dark Knight left the audience with many questions. One of them was, "Is Harvey Dent dead or alive?" Well, Aaron Eckhart was in an interview earlier this week where he answered the question with two words..."He's dead". He said that he asked Christopher Nolan is he would be coming back in the third and he said the there was no chance. This was disappointing for me to hear because I think that Two-Face should have been more involved in the movies...guess not.

The Week of September 5th

ALRIGHT SCHOOLS STARTED!! Too bad I've already lost my interest in it. Did I mention that Tropic Thunder has claimed 1st place on the box office again? Yeah, conquering a number of new movies this weekend including Babylon AD which came in second. Dark Knight came in third picking up 8 million.
-Johhny Depp has claimed that he is not yet casted to play the Riddler. That is something I'm dissapointed to hear because I think he would be great. Oh well, he still said that he would love to play the role so hopefilly Christpher Nolan will hear that and consider him fo the role.
-20th Century Fox has been in a lawsuit with Fox over the rights to the new hoghly anticipated comic book movie opening in 2009, Watchmen. Fox claims that the have the rights to the project. This of cousre will cause the new movie to be delayed. Once again a highly aniticipated movie is being pushed back. Haven't heard of Watchmen? The trailer can be seen at the bottom of the home page.

Monday, August 25, 2008

The week of August 29th

-Tropic Thunder has claimed the number one spot once again in the box office this past weekend. The House Bunny came in second, Death Race in third, and Dark Knight in fourth. The Dark Knight is still going strong picking up ten million last week.
-A few Batman movie updates have been released. The 62 year old actress and singer Cher is signed on to play Catwoman in the new Batman film. I guess Christopher Nolan doesn't plan for Catwoman to be the younger, love interest of Batman(I hope not). Johny Depp is joining her as the Riddler. I personally still want a Mr. Freeze that doesn't have a huge gun, doesn't look cheesy, and isn't played by Arnold Scawarzenegger. The third Batman is currently titled, The Caped Crusader.

Superman Being Rebooted...Again

Given the large success of Dark Knight, DC is going to largely increase their movies within the next five years. With Green Lantern, Justice League, and Superman in production it looks like their getting a good start. However, if you liked "Superman Returns", then you'll be sad to hear that the next Superman movie will be a reboot. It will be entirely different. If you're asking why would they do this, DC believes that the movie should be darker(being like the new Batman.) There's just on problem, SUPERMAN ISN'T DARK. He's the exact opposite of dark. I for one hope that this is just a little thought and that DC will not go through with this. What do you think?

Monday, August 18, 2008

The week of August 22nd

-It had to happen eventually and this weekend The Dark Knight was finally bumped to second place by Ben Stiller's Tropic Thunder which I heard was hilarious(unfortunately I will not be allowed to see it.) Tropic Thunder gained 26 million. Batman gathered 16million and Clone Wars got 15 mill.
-To you Harry Potter fans who are also a fan of Twilight, you'll be happy to know that Twilight is taking Potter's place opening on November 21st.
-Sadly(on a personal note) I have to go back to school Wednesday. However, the posting consistency WILL stay the same on this site. Hopefully the site will gain much more popularity wen I tell Friends about it.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars

SINCE THIS IS STAR WARS I PROBABLY WILL NOT SPELL THE NAMES CORRECTLY!
First, I would like to dedicate this review to Drew Donovan for the many laughs we had when the dialogue in this movie got cheesy. This new chapter in the Star Wars saga was strictly an entertaining popcorn movie. The action scenes were fun to watch, the sound quality was very good, but the dialogue in this movie really got cheesy at certain parts(for the most part the cheesy line came from Anakin and his apprentice.) The only character who I thought had no crummy lines was Count Dukou. Another thing I didn't like is that the paragraphs at the beginning of each movie were replaced with another cheesy announcer voice. The original music wasn't in the movie either. Has George Lucas lost his mind? I give it a 5 out of 10. If your at the movies with your kids, take them to see this but if you don't go see Tropic Thunder.

Just When I Was Getting Excited About Harry Potter

For all of you who were excited about Harry Potter 6, I'm about to shatter your joy. It has been pushed back till next summer. That's right,July 17, 2009. I'm starting to get annoyed with all these push backs.

Sunday, August 10, 2008

The week of August 15th

-Dark Knight has once again won the box office this past weekend beating out Pineapple Express and The Sisterhood of Traveling Pants. The Dark Knight has gained over 700 million worldwide.
-A boycott will be happening this week. A number of disability groups will boycott Tropic Thunder because they say it makes fun of the disabled. Apparently the word "retard" is repeated throughout the movie referring to a character named Simple Jack. In the movie, Simple Jack is a character Ben Stiller plays to try and win an oscar.
-Get this. Weeks ago at Comic Con, tow girls dressed up as X-Men characters, Magma, and Storm. Apparently they were trying to pull off a stunt in which magma would light her arm on fire and Storm would put it out with water. Well Magma did light her arm on fire but Storm didn't put it out! The fire worked its way up to her hair. So...Hugh Jackman(the guy who plays Wolverine), is watching all this. He runs up and uses the girl's cape to put out the fire. Talk about real life hero.
-Here's a little something I have this week for those of you who would like to post comments...what movie do the you think X-Men Origins:Wolverine(the spin off based on Hugh Jackman's character) will be with. Here are some options: Harry Potter, High School Musical 3, Punisher War Zone(another Marvel movie), Quantum of Solace(the new James Bond movie) or any other movie you can think of.

The Mummy 3

Alright, let's think of things we think of when we hear something about the Mummy movies. Guns firing in the air, traveling across the world, a fight between Brendan Fraser and Arnold Vosloo(The mummy in the first two), and brought in by the second movie, a war scene with mummies involved. Now that you've heard all that, you'll be happy to know that everything I just said is also in the Mummy 3(except for the fact the Brendan Fraser is fighting Jet Li.) Yetis, an older Alex O'Connell, and of course China are some of the new elements brought in by this new movie. I don't know why all the movie critics didn't like this movie. I not saying this Mummy is better than the first two, it's one and the same with them but that's still good in my opinion. The only problem I had with this movie is that the mummy had too many powers. It was a wonder he was killed. I would give this a 7 out of 10...go see it.

Monday, August 4, 2008

The week of August 8th

-The Dark Knight is still going strong picking up 43 million last weekend beating out the new mummy movie which I still have not seen. By the way if you get the chance go see Dark Knight in Imax it's amazing.
-Justice League(The DC comic characters teamed up) is back on the table for production. This has been an on and off thing so don't expect a movie for a couple of years. The Avengers movie will be so much better so I really don't care much about Justice League right now.
-For you Transformers fans who were sad to see Megatron get dumped into the ocean, you can throw away the tissues he's coming back. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO HEAR THE PLOT STOP READING. The villain in this movie is The Fallen, apparently it's a Satan equivalent to a Transformer. The Autobots need Magatron's help to fight this new robot.

If you haven't seen the trailers at the bottom of this page yet, get a look at them soon because I'm going to change them in honor of the August 15th movies.

I'm officially TICKED OFF

As seen in the title of this post yes I'm ticked. One of the movies I'm really looking forward to next year got pushed back. I'm talking about Prince of Persia(the movie adaption of a video game, one of the best) which was going to be released June 19th next year, but they pushed it back and entire year. Now it's May 28th, 2010. They already started filming and it got pushed back. What's the deal.

The week of August 1st

Alright now that I've set up site it's time to do my first movie news update for the week of August 1st.
-For starters, due to his hand injury which was caused by a car accident leading his arrest last week, Shia Labeouf is stalling the production of Transformers 2:Revenge of the Fallen which will open in 2009. He is currently under arrest for the suspicion of drunk driving. What an idiot...He is working of the biggest franchise of his life and he can't resist having too much alcohol then driving around and getting in an accident.

Movies of 2008

I'm sure you know that the great summer movies season of 2008 will be ending on August 15 with the releases of Star Wars: Clone Wars and Tropic Thunder. In my opinion these will be the last good movies until Harry Potter. In honor of the ending season, I've put together a list of my favorite movies this summer.
1. Dark Knight-Best Action/Drama I've seen in a long time.
2.Iron Man-Best Super Hero movie so far.
3.Get Smart-Loads of action mixed in with hilarious humor this was a great movie.
4.Hancock-I was surprised with how good Hancock was. The action sequences had great special effects and it had a great ending.
5.Incredible Hulk-Blows the first one way out of the water.
6.Hellboy 2: The Golden Army-A very entertaining movie this summer with stunning almost creepy monsters running on and off the screen.
7.Indiana Jones-The ending ruined it for me.

Harry Potter Trailer

Finally...I've been waiting all summer for this trailer and now I've seen it. It's not what I expected but then again it is a teaser trailer. You can watch the trailer at the bottom of this page at the Movie Trailer area. I will update that section Every now and then with new trailers for other highly anticipated movies.

Dark Knight

SPOLIER ALERT
I feel like the first thing I should post on this site is how freaking awsome the Dark Knight was.
Christian Bale great, Gary Oldman great, Michael Caine great. But the two actors I was impressed with were Aaron Eckhart(the way he portyed becomeing a villian), and of cousre Heath Ledger( who did such a good job with the Joker it creeped me out.) The special effects and action sequences were amazing. I can't wait till the next one comes out.
