GRAN TORINO
I've actually never seen a movie with Clint Eastwood in it and this movie greatly encouraged me to do so. Gran Torino was a great movie about a hard-hearted man who is saddened by the death of his wife. The movie had great acting by Clint Eastwood, it had a good amount of comedy, and a good meaning of self-sacrifice. The movie shows Walt's relationship with a boy who works for him. As the boy helps Walt(Clint Eastwood), Walt teaches him things like manners, how to get a job, and how to be a man. As the movie goes on, Walt tries to protect the boy from the gangs and makes sure he doesn't let himself join one by means of peer-pressure. Eventually, things get serious and Walt has to take things into his own hands. Thanks to the different gangs in this movie the language is very strong consisting of mostly the f-bomb and other racial phrases. There isn't that much violence in this movie but in certain intense scenes there is a good amount of blood shown. Overall, I give it a 9 out of 10.
PAUL BLART: MALL COP
Why I went to see this, I really don't know. I was invited by some friends and I said yes. There really isn't much to say here. This is simply a movie that ha little laughs here and there but only one or two things that made me really chuckle. The storyline was clever in my opinion. A mall security guard gets locked in a mall while it's being robbed and he tries to stop them. The robbers were a little over the top in terms of agility. I thought I was watching X-Men vs. the Unstoppable Paul Fart uh I mean Blart. Anyways, the little kids will like it, the teenagers and adults probably won't. Paul Fart here, couldn't stand up to Clint Eastwood. 4 out of 10.
